Clean, somewhat upscale shopping center. Wife says it's nicer because it's a "Simon" mall. Only guy I ever knew named Simon was this aging new-age hippie guy in Berkeley back in the 90's - he was nice enough, but he never seemed to have any cash to buy food so he was always mooching off of everyone else. But that's okay, because he told some great stories. I'm sure they weren't all his to tell, but he made them real for us and we enjoyed hanging out and listening to him. I guess in a way he was paying for the food - a lot of those stories have stuck with me over the years. Thanks Simon. Glad to see you've made it big in the shopping mall business. We should get together for lunch sometime - I'll buy you a burger ;)
Pretty great stores. Always busy enough where there are cool stores and they always have pretty good stuff, but it never feels super crowded. There is always parking, may not always be super close on weekends, but there's always spots. Only thing I would say is more shoe options, feels pretty limited there.
4 of us met at California Pizza Kitchen. The place wasn't packed yet and our food still took almost 30 mins to arrive. It was all good, and it was hot. Our server was training so that may have slowed things down and yet they both were good. Not all that impressed with their newest menu. Prices for dinner are HIGH. And yet there were lots and lots of families there. I prefer to go in the warm weather and sit outside. The inside is dark and I have old eyes! haha
This s a nice mall, with 5 anchor (department) stores. Good variety of shops inside, loads of parking. A couple of good restaurants attached for sit-down meals, and a small bakery/cafe inside for a coffee break. I really do like shopping here - but I deducted 1 star because there's no food court. You have to wander around the whole mall to find the 2 or 3 places to grab a quick bite.
If you want a comprehensive mall, you're in luck. Stoneridge has most of the retail establishments you'd ever want to visit. You can also window shop, grab a bite to eat, or simply people watch.
