Changed this from a 1 star to a 4 star after HD fixed their online stocking mistake. They checked other stores in the local area, and found the item I needed. Situation was rectified, but the stocking error still needs to be addressed/fixed.
Terrible customer service. I had to go looking for an employee for help. I wasn't in his department, so he called for someone else. I stood around for over 10 minutes waiting. When he showed up, I told him what I wanted. (A piece of indoor/outdoor carpet.) He told me that they didn't have any of the color I wanted. I pointed to the sign (above his head) that said "Available In Stock". He moved several rolls around before telling me that they didn't have any. I gave him my second choice, and he said that they did have that one. I told him that I wanted a 1'x1' piece. He said that he couldn't do that because they only sold it in 6' wide pieces. (There are, of course, no signs indicating this policy nor any statement of minimum purchase requirements.) I walked out.
They need to add some price checking machines in the store.
