There are a lot of things to love about this place, as a craft brew aficionado. The thing about Beer Baron above all else, though, is that it has an incredible beer selection. I used to frequent a dive bar in DC that went from Brickskeller to Bier Baron over time, and had a similarly amazing range of beers on tap. Life sometimes just looks better through the lens of a frosty mug.
Appetizers and drinks were delicious. Expensive, but Pleasanton is like SF, somehow attempting to justify really expensive food and drinks.
Service stuff and bartenders are friendly. I'd definitely go there again.
I was there on a Tuesday night by myself where there was a bd party going on. Crowd was young, slightly diverse which I assume either students or young professionals. There are plenty of seats including outside seating for smokers. Music was great, beer selection is phenomenal which I went with orange flavored IPA.
Probably because the city sucks every cent out of business owners that they can.
They're one of just a few places open after midnight on a weekday as far as I know.
They have indoor and outdoor seating. So, enjoy those high temp over the summer or escape them, whichever you prefer. The food here knocked me out! Even the burger was outstanding! And, of course, there's the wide selection of beer to satisfy any palate.
The beer selection was solid, and the bartender was attentive. That's all I was looking for on a lazy Saturday afternoon w/ my laptop. So they get 5 stars. The food menu looked good, but I didn't actually order anything, so I can't comment on that.
